This Privacy Policy explains how COCO-WAWA, LLC (“COCO WAWA”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit coco-wawa.com, create an account, buy pet supplies, sell as a marketplace vendor, or subscribe to our emails. We keep only what we need to run the store.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, account password (stored encrypted), order notes, messages to support, product reviews, and vendor store details if you apply to sell.
- Order and payment information: items purchased, order totals and transaction IDs. Card details are entered directly with our payment processors (Stripe, WooPayments, PayPal); we never see or store full card numbers.
- Automatically collected: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie identifiers.
- Pet information (optional): the type of pet you shop for, used only to show relevant products.
2. How we use information
- Process, ship and track orders, handle returns and refunds, and provide customer support.
- Create and secure your account, prevent fraud and abuse.
- Send order and shipping emails (transactional) and, only if you opt in, newsletters and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
- Improve the store, measure advertising, and comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations.
3. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the store:
- Payment processors (Stripe, WooPayments, PayPal).
- Fulfillment partners, suppliers, print-on-demand partners and carriers that ship your order (name, address, phone and items only).
- Marketplace vendors, when you buy a product sold by an independent vendor, receive the details needed to fulfil that order.
- Hosting, email (MailPoet) and analytics/advertising tools (Google, Pinterest, TikTok) that may place cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights and customers.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies for the cart, checkout and login, and optional cookies for analytics and advertising. Details and choices are in our Cookie Policy.
5. How long we keep data
Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting (generally up to 7 years). Account data is kept until you delete your account. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on your state (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and others), you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we hold; correct it; delete it; obtain a portable copy; and opt out of targeted advertising or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information and do not use it for profiling with legal effects. To exercise a right, email info@coco-wawa.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We verify requests using your account email and respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out of targeted advertising.
7. Children
Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
The site is served over SSL/TLS, passwords are hashed, and access to order data is limited to staff and partners who need it. No method of transmission is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. International visitors
We are based in the United States and store data in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information is transferred to and processed in the U.S.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version; significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
